Dry Drayton School does not have a conventional Parent Teacher Association. It has something far better - The School and Village Association.
The Dry Drayton School and Village Association has now been running for over 25 years. Regular meetings are held to discuss its activities, which are largely to coordinate, promote and provide funding for events for the school and village. It supports the school financially and contributes to purchases of equipment, school trips, photocopier hire and our Christmas party for the children.
The School and Village Association owns two marquees which are hired out during the summer to raise funds, as well as supplying the venue for Feast Week and other events in the village. The marquee bookings and rotas are organized by Neil Harris, Tel 01954 789049. If you would like to hire them, we suggest you book as early as possible, there are preferencial rates for school families and village residents.
If anyone would like to join the team of volunteers to erect and dismantle the marquee we would love to include you in the rotas. (You also get a free pint at the pub afterwards.) For more information on hiring or becoming a team member please contact us.
